Growave adds Store Credit reward to simplify redemption and boost loyalty
Hi everyone!
Today, Growave is thrilled to announce the powerful new Store Credit reward feature - a loyalty tool that gives Growave merchants a flexible, brand-owned wallet system and makes redeeming points more delightful for customers.
Why Store Credit Matters?
Loyalty programs are only as good as their redemption experience. Customers love earning points but they really connect with rewards that feel usable, frictionless, and part of your brand. Store Credit offers exactly that: it converts loyalty points into a real balance in the customer’s account (in Shopify), which they can then apply toward purchases.
That means:
- Instant value: once you redeem your points, the credit appears in your account right away.
- Smooth checkout: just select your store credit as a payment option, no extra steps required.
- Ultimate flexibility: spend it on anything in the store, exactly when you want to.
In short: store credit turns points into a currency your customers understand and boosts the odds they’ll come back to use it.

Note: Store credit only works in the shop’s main currency. If you run markets in alternate currencies, credit balances will show as zero in those markets, and customers won’t be able to use it at checkout. Store credit is only available starting from Growave’s Growth plan (for Growave 2.0 users) onwards.
Benefits for Growave merchants:
Here’s how adding store credit as a redemption option can help your store grow loyalty, conversion, and customer engagement:
1. Boost Redemption Rates
Many customers don’t redeem loyalty points because the process is confusing or cumbersome. Store credit simplifies it. A seamless, in-account balance is far more likely to be used, turning “points sitting idle” into real sales.
2. Increase Repeat Purchases
Once customers have credit, they are nudged to return and spend it. That “owed balance” encourages another session and purchase.
3. Flexibility in Promotions & Targeting
You can control who sees the option (customer tags), the expiration, or combine credit with other rewards to craft creative campaigns (e.g. “Double points until month’s end, redeem into store credit”).
4. Brand-Owned Wallet vs. Third-Party Discounts
Instead of issuing external discount codes (which might be shared beyond your audience), store credit stays in your ecosystem and keeps customers tied to your store.
Store credit is more than just another reward type, it’s a brand-owned loyalty currency. By enabling it in Growave, Shopify merchants get a powerful tool to deepen connection with customers, simplify redemption, and boost repeat purchases.
